Percy Park seek new Head Coach/Player Coach
After 3 year’s in the position, Lome Fa’atau has stepped down as Head Coach at Percy Park, and we would like to thank him for his work and dedication to the club over the past 3 seasons. We wish him well for the future.
Park are now seeking to fill the vacant position of Head Coach/Player for the season 2018/19 and onwards. Percy Park RFC is an ambitious organisation with a very successful junior section and a senior section fielding three teams on most Saturdays.
We will be playing in League North 1 East , Level 6, next season. The club has a desire to return to National League rugby at the earliest possible opportunity and are looking for a Head Coach with similar ambitions but with an emphasis on development of our predominantly young squad. The Head Coach must be able to cater and coach a varying ability at training with development the key.
The PPRFC Head Coach will have principal responsibility for coaching and match preparation of the senior squad and may also be an integral member of the senior playing team. Player development will be an essential part of the required skill base as the club seeks to introduce a sustainable player development strategy. PPRFC would also be looking to the new coach to produce and deliver a coach CPD program to the current junior coaches.
Coaching experience of senior rugby is desired along with a minimum RFU Level 2 or working towards as a minimum requirement or relative playing experience.
Applicants should be enthusiastic about working in a team / club environment and looking to continually improving their coaching skills which the club would be prepared to support.
