Percy Park 62 Morpeth 15
Park Academy hosted a sponsors day and photoshoot prior to kickoff to thank all parties who have contributed so generously to the programme.
Park fielded a bench full of backs due to injury and players on county duty. Kicking off with the slope Park had the edge in most areas, scoring four trys through Alex Clarke, Liam McStay and Sean Williamson (2), though leaking a well worked try from Morpeth from long range. Half time score was 26 - 7. Morpeth were unable to field a proper front row after the break so the game went to uncontested scrums.
Players were rotated throughout the half with further tries from Rob Watts, Aaron Cottingham (2), Tom Brodie (2) and Ryan Jones getting Park over the fifty points. Conversions by Jack Jeffery (4) and Jonny Dubois made our final score 62. Morpeth stuck to their task all game, kicking a penalty and scoring at the death from a Park chargedown on the Morpeth line, a deserved reward for the Morpeth fullback who ran the length of the field with the rebound. Some of Park's play was neat and tidy while other areas left room for development on the training pitch, The number of changes made didn't help in some respects but given our dominance the full 22 were given a run out.Final Score: Percy Park 62 Morpeth 15
Man of the match: Jack Davidson.
