Once again due to the inclement weather, there was no Ist XV rugby as Park's game away to Ryton was called off due to a frozen pitch. The gradual rise in temperature over the day meant that at 2.15 pm the only home game at Park could go ahead against Blyth II.

With no first team action this week for either club, the hardy, some would say foolish supporters braved the elements, and in appalling conditions 30 players tried their best to play rugby with an oval shaped bar of soap. It was perishing on the touch line, even with five layers of clothing, so hat's off to the players and referee for sticking it out for the full 80 minutes.
Percy Park 25 - 5 Ponteland
Although the Ist XV contest was not a classic for the spectator, Park can boast the treble over Ponteland, as all three sides on the day, the firsts, Lions and Marauders all won.
Percy Park Ist XV had high hopes of consolidating their league position with a win against Pont, who previously had won only 2 league games. The home side drew first blood so to speak, when Giles Tipsword crashed over for the opening Park try after sustained pressure in the visitors 22. Although Morse missed the conversion, he was accurate with a penalty attempt soon after, to take the score to 8 - 0.
NORTHERN 10 - 11 PERCY PARK
Park ended Northern's unbeaten league run by a single point, in the tightest of games, thanks to the boot of Phil Morse, but it could have been so different if Northern's Robbie Thomas had slotted his penalty with the last kick of the match.
Giles Tipsword came back into the side after his aged bones were rested for the Horden game the previous week, and Chris Reekie also returned to the pack with George Purdy dropping to the bench. Ash Smith also came into the side for the "under the weather "Morse who started on the bench but came on at full back for the last 10 minutes.
