Percy Park have withdrawn from this seasons Men's Papa John's Community Cup and will therefore forfeit their Quarter-Final against Cleckheaton in the Regional 1 Plate competition. After a narrow 40-34 victory in the first leg last weekend, the second leg was scheduled at Cleckheaton this coming Sunday but has now been cancelled. Park had too many players unavailable with only six able to travel to West Yorkshire at the weekend. Our apologies to our opponents and we wish them well in the competition.

It brings the fifteen-a-side season to an end with attention now turning to our annual 7s event which takes place at Preston Avenue on Saturday, 17 May 2025, KO from 11am. There will be beer, an outside food court, ice cream and a feast of seven's rugby so what's not to enjoy! SEE YOU THERE! 

A massive thank you to everyone, from all sections of the club, who helped in putting on a fantastic Under 19 England vs Scotland International Match at Preston Avenue on Saturday. It was truly a memorable occasion made even more special by the way the club came together to ensure its success. There are far too many people to mention but whatever everyone did, volunteering, car parking, serving food and drink or just rocking up to support the two teams, thank-you. I must make a special mention to our Chair, Tim Walker, who co-ordinated the whole planning process and who worked tirelessly to make the day the success that it was. I know from speaking to both teams and their management just how much they appreciated the organisation and the welcome they have received. Can I just add, as President, that the whole club should be immensly proud of the effort made to make the day so special which so clearly demonstrates what a fantastic rugby club Percy Park we are #percyparkfamily

The U13 lads with the Northumberland County Plate Cup after their thrilling 40-30 victory over Alnwick.

A Glorious day at Tynedale on Sunday as the Corbridge club hosted a day of age-grade Northumberland County Cup finals with Percy Park involved in three of them. A beautiful sunny day (albeit windy) began with an early 9.45 am start for the U16 Boys who took on Gosforth, winning a great game 27-7 to lift the Northumberland County U16 Plate Final. They were followed at 12 noon by the U13 Boys who played Alnwick in the final of the U13 Plate Final winning a high scoring and thoroughly entertaining game 40-30. At 1 pm, the U 14 Boys played Northern in the U14 Plate Final but this proved just a bridge to far, the Newcastle side winning comfortably 12-62.

Congratulations to our three teams for their success and our grateful thanks to the players, coaches, parents and supporters who made it possible.

Our thanks also to Tynedale RFC, their staff and volunteers who hosted a fantastic day of rugby on behalf of the County.
